Are you a creative Designer with a passion for designing distinctive, customer-led collections? As our Designer for Sunglasses, you'll work closely with the Head of Design to lead the end-to-end design and development of commercially successful collections that bring our brand vision to life. You'll collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver exceptional products, and help shape seasonal creative direction that connects with our customer. How you will contribute
- Design and develop the Sunglasses collection aligned to Mimco strategy & DNA, customer needs and seasonal creative direction, driving ongoing innovation and on-brand newness across designated categories
- Ensure product details, materials and aesthetics are cohesive across the category, reinforcing monthly collection storytelling
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Design and broader Design team to identify and interpret seasonal trends relevant to the category
- Develop collections in line with option plans, OTB, margin, commercial targets and Creative Product Strategy
- Partner with suppliers, agents and factories to deliver collections that meet quality, cost and delivery expectations
- Ensure all product information and presentation materials are prepared accurately and on time for internal meetings and reviews
- Oversee the completion of briefing sheets for all styles within nominated categories, ensuring they are handed over to the Technical Designer / Product Development according to the critical path
- Communicate styling adjustments post-fittings to the Merchandise Planner, Head of Buying and Product Development team addressing any design concerns, potential delays or price adjustments
- Present collections to the Marketing and Visual Merchandising Teams as needed
- Meet sales budgets, intake margins and markdowns targets for nominated categories

Capabilities we value
- Diploma or degree qualification in Design
- Previous experience designing Sunglasses
- Experience working with local and off-shore vendors
- Proven track record of designing & developing commercially successful product ranges
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to multi-task and collaborate effectively within a team environment
- Proven teamwork and collaboration abilities, thriving in dynamic and fast-paced settings
- Genuine interest in the bags and accessories design, paired with creative flair and a passion for innovative design
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring high-quality outcomes in all tasks
- Exceptional organisational skills, with a strong focus on meeting deadlines
- Strong CAD (Adobe) and Excel skills
- Effective problem-solving abilities, demonstrating resourcefulness and critical thinking.
