Are you passionate about creating beautiful, customer-led home products that inspire everyday living? As a Buyer within our Country Road Home team, you will play a key role in shaping thoughtfully curated collections that reflect our brand vision while delivering strong commercial outcomes. Working closely with cross-functional teams and supplier partners, you will combine creativity, trend insight and commercial acumen to bring exceptional products to life. How you will contribute

  • Develop and implement a commercially driven product strategy that translates customer insight and commercial data into ranges aligned with brand and financial targets
  • Translate planning framework, market and competitor insights into clear range pricing architecture, ensuring optimised option count and balanced intake margin
  • Maximise category sales in season, through implementing short term, strategic trade and inventory actions
  • Manage and deliver an Option Plan, engaging all key stakeholders along critical path, to deliver the range
  • Collaborate with Design, Product Development, Technical Design, Packaging, Sourcing and Vendors to ensure new product developments meet target range outcomes
  • Analyse Seasonal Performance together with planning, at key range milestones, including Weekly Trade, mid-season review, and end of season.
  • Work closely with Planning to optimising store gridding, attribute application including flow and gridding boards
  • Driving communication and alignment between key stake holders, VM, Marketing, EComm, Retail and Training, on execution through all Channels.

Capabilities we value 

  • Experience in buying or merchandising with a proven track record of delivering successful buying strategies in a fast-paced retail or omnichannel environment
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to develop and execute buying/product strategies that align with business goals and market trends
  • Strong understanding of financial metrics, including revenue, margin, and inventory management, to drive profitable buying decisions
  • Strong understanding of customer preferences, leveraging data-driven insights to create product assortments that resonate with target audiences
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Product Construction and has proven expertise in delivering margin KPI’s of profitable product assortments.
