As the Product Developer for Menswear, you will manage the end-to-end development of menswear product, partnering across Buying, Design, Technical Design, Sourcing, Raw Materials and suppliers to bring commercially successful ranges to life. You will combine strong product and technical knowledge with a commercial mindset to manage the critical path, drive costing and supplier negotiation, and deliver quality menswear product on time and in line with margin expectations.

How You Will Contribute

  • Partner across Buying, Design, Technical Design, Sourcing and Raw Materials to translate creative and commercial briefs into achievable supplier outcomes
  • Apply strong knowledge of menswear product, fabrics, garment construction and manufacturing to support development and resolve challenges throughout the process
  • Drive product costing and supplier negotiations, identifying commercially viable solutions that balance design intent, quality, margin and lead times
  • Build strong relationships with offshore suppliers, factories and mills, setting clear expectations around cost, quality, capacity and delivery
  • Manage fabric administration, including maintaining the fabric library and fabric codes, ensuring information is accurate and up to date
  • Coordinate and manage lab dips, strike-offs and handloom approvals, working closely with relevant internal teams and suppliers to keep development on track
  • Complete general product development administration and maintain accurate product and development information throughout the critical path
  • Manage supplier communication and capacity throughout development to ensure production milestones remain on track and bulk product is delivered on time and in full
  • Proactively problem-solve development and production challenges while identifying opportunities to improve process, efficiency and speed to market.
