The Country Road Group is undergoing a significant transformation and is embarking on some innovative and exciting projects and we are looking for a 3D Product Development Lead (12 month fixed term contract).

The 3D Product Development Lead plays a pivotal role in modernising our apparel product development process by integrating 3D design capabilities into existing workflows. This role bridges traditional analogue methods with cutting-edge digital tools, focusing on change leadership, capability building, and operational excellence.

Key Accountabilities 

  • Assess and document current product development workflows, tools, and touchpoints.
  • Identify inefficiencies and digitisation opportunities.
  • Promote 3D design tools (e.g., Clo 3D) and their benefits across teams.
  • Demonstrate how 3D enhances workflows, accelerates time-to-market, and improves collaboration.
  • Develop role-specific 3D training materials for design, technical, and product teams.
  • Facilitate workshops and coaching to build internal 3D capabilities.
  • Provide expert support and troubleshooting for 3D software.
  • Mentor teams through real-world 3D development challenges.
  • Contribute to 3D standards and supplier documentation.
  • Ensure scalable, well-documented processes aligned with global best practices.
  • Advise on 3D integration in pilot and strategic digital projects.
  • Help transition successful pilots into standard operations.

Key Capabilities 

  • Expertise in Clo 3D Design Software
  • Proven mastery in using Clo 3D for apparel prototyping and development.
  • Extensive experience in large-scale 3D product development within a retail or fashion environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching or coaching creative professionals and product teams.
  • Ability to create engaging learning materials and resources tailored to various learner levels.
  • Practical experience supporting organisational change initiatives and digital transformation.
  • In-depth understanding of traditional apparel development processes, from concept to production.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to influence across functions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Problem-solving orientation with a proactive approach to innovation.
  • Passion for digital innovation and sustainability in fashion.
