Purpose
Reporting to the Merchandise Planning Manager, The Allocation Analyst is responsible for the allocation of retail stock, driving sales through the correct distribution of inventory across boutiques, concessions, clearance stores and online locations. This role is directly accountable for managing the allocation of stock and the data integrity of all retail and planning tools and reports.
Key Accountabilities
Inventory
Monitor sales and inventory performance and maintain replenishment systems parameters to ensure appropriate stock levels to achieve sales, inventory turnover, and gross profit margin
Execute and provide recommendations for a distribution strategy that supports and enhances merchandise, marketing, and financial strategies.
Recap, evaluate, and recommend seasonal performance & flow opportunities by style, class, and department
Reports and Analysis
Prepare weekly and monthly reports
Prepare weekly delivery reports
Prepare adhoc reports and sales analysis
System Maintenance
Maintain costcards, assist in preparing post season review analysis
Maintain system data integrity, including pricing and all fields relating to reports and product data
Manage line cards for core lines
Online Business Support
Allocate stock to the online business to ensure that correct product placement and adequate allocation of stock
Communication
Maintain the Margin Report by making changes as needed including changes in style numbers, costs, RRP’s and delivery dates.
Communicate forward delivery dates and exceptions to the AUS VM team
Communicating with production teams on forecasts, retail pricing and delivery updates
Ability to work cross functionally, communicating priorities and deadlines
Key Capabilities
Previous experience in a similar role highly advantageous, alternatively a faced paced, data entry or similar analytical role
Demonstrated ability to understand financial measurements and how to positively execute them
Advanced Microsoft Excel experience
Ability to analyse and interpret reports and data
High level of attention to detail and a process improvement mentality
Strong written and verbal communication and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
