As a UX Designer, you will contribute to designing and delivering impactful user experiences across Country Road Group’s digital channels. Reporting to the CRO & UX Lead, you’ll support the creation of customer journeys that enhance online sales conversion, drive customer satisfaction, and encourage long-term retention.

In this role, you’ll work within CRG’s design systems, ensuring consistency and alignment with brand standards across digital touchpoints. Applying both strategic thinking and design expertise, you’ll help create user-centered interfaces that are engaging, intuitive, and aligned with CRG’s vision. Your work will help achieve business objectives through data-informed insights, innovative design approaches, and a focus on optimising the overall digital experience.

Key Accountabilities

  • Contribute to UX Deliverables Throughout the Design Lifecycle: Support the production of UX deliverables across all phases of the research and design process, ensuring smooth developer handoffs and alignment with CRO objectives to enhance conversion and engagement.

  • Translate Insights into Actionable Designs: Use qualitative and quantitative user insights to create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs that are both user-focused and business-aligned.

  • Apply and Uphold UX Design Standards: Work within and help evolve comprehensive UX design specifications, online style guides, and best practices to ensure consistent, high-quality experiences across digital channels.

  • Support Continuous Research and Testing Initiatives: Participate in customer research, usability testing, and surveys to refine UX strategies. Contribute to experimentation efforts by assisting with A/B test design and analysis, using insights to inform iterative improvements.

  • Evaluate and Improve UX Outputs: Ensure UX designs meet usability and quality standards, conducting testing against design specifications and working with development teams to resolve any discrepancies.

  • Collaborate Across Teams for Enhanced Experiences: Work closely with the Group Omni-Channel Team, internal stakeholders, and the CRO & UX Lead on new projects, optimisation efforts, and personalisation initiatives, contributing insights to elevate the customer experience

  • Support a Scalable Design System: Contribute to the ongoing management of a robust design system that streamlines workflows and ensures design consistency, supporting its application across departments.

  • Help Implement Accessibility Standards Across Brands: Collaborate on accessibility guidelines for all CRG websites, ensuring AA compliance with support from external accessibility partners.

Key Capabilities 

  • Tertiary qualification in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Multimedia or a related field.
  • Additional qualification in user experience and/or service design is an advantage.
  • Experience in UI/UX design (across desktop, mobile, tablet) with knowledge of user-centred design methodologies.
  • Responsive web and app design skills and demonstrable techniques.
  • A passion for elegant, simple and innovative designs with an excellent portfolio of design solutions across a spectrum of devices and services.
  • Ability to create rapid prototypes and conduct user testing.
  • Ability to run effective design critiques.
  • Strong design, documentation and prototyping skills primarily using Figma.
  • Experience in A/B and/or multivariate testing, Test and Learn approaches to conversion optimisation would be an advantage.
  • Some basic familiarity with user research tools like HotJar, ContentSquare, Google Analytics, as well as some basic knowledge in HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript, with a view to its use in design and analytical measurement.
  • An understanding of Design Thinking concepts, web standards and accessibility.
