Purpose
We have an exciting opportunity to join our world class Omni-Fulfilment centre as Zone Manager (Afternoon Shift).
Your role will be pivotal in delivering quality logistics services to the business, whilst maximising the profitability and productivity of the site. Supporting all Country Road Group brands, your team will be responsible for controlling and coordinating all daily functions and developing and maintaining effective liaison with relevant internal and external stakeholders. We are looking for a people leader who is hands-on, can support with coaching, mentoring and developing team as well as being analytical and implementing process improvements.
* Please note this role is based in Truganina with the shift kicking off at 3pm**
Key Accountabilities
Manage operations to deliver quality customer service and logistics services to the business
Conduct daily team briefing sessions regarding safety, performance results, site visitors etc.
Maintain all health and safety performance and awareness for the site with the overall accountability for incident management processes
Develop and maintain effective communication with relevant zones on site and customers, ensuring internal and external customer service needs and expectations are met
Analyse weekly performance results and regularly review zone’s performance and forecast against initial budgets to devise strategies to improve performance
In conjunction with the Inventory Manager you will plan, supervise, or conduct inventory reviews, cycle counting, audits and stocktakes
Key Capabilities
Demonstrated operational management experience within a similar large format warehouse environment
Previous experience in leading, developing and motivating a large team to meet and exceed KPI's
Experience motivating and building successful teams and cultures
Working knowledge of warehousing management and distribution systems including, IT interfaces, WMS (Manhattan), Schaefer Conveyor system
Sound knowledge of health and safety, human resources and industrial relations processes and practices
Retail experience beneficial
Strong computer knowledge and MS Office proficiency
