The Digital Marketing Coordinator– Grow and Retain plays a critical role in supporting and executing multi- channel marketing strategies aimed at driving brand discovery, customer engagement, and loyalty acquisition.

This role works closely with the Digital Marketing Manager to develop, execute, and optimise digital campaigns across channels, including social media, display, video, and programmatic. The Specialist collaborates cross-functionally, particularly with the Marketing Operations (M’Ops) Team, to ensure smooth campaign execution, alignment with strategic goals, and efficient budget management.

Additionally, the Specialist is responsible for recommending the right creative fit for each digital channel, selecting appropriate publishers, building media plans, and presenting media recommendations that maximise reach and engagement.

Key Accountabilities 

Campaign Execution, Planning & Optimisation

  • Lead the execution of grow and retain campaigns across digital channels, including social media, display, video, and programmatic, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with the M’Ops Team to streamline workflows, manage timelines, and coordinate the technical setup and optimisation of campaigns.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Creative Recommendations:

  • Partner with the Brand Marketing Team and M’Ops Team to recommend creative assets that align with the brand’s grow and retain objectives, ensuring the right creative fit for each digital channel.
  • Work with internal teams to identify and recommend the most effective publishers for specific campaigns, based on audience insights, creative requirements, and engagement potential.

Media Plan Development & Budget Management:

  • Develop and execute media plans that align with the grow and retain strategy, ensuring optimal budget allocation across digital channels to drive awareness and engagement.
  • Manage budgets for assigned campaigns, tracking spend across channels, and adjusting allocations to optimise performance and ROI

Data-Driven Insights & Performance Reporting:

  • Monitor, analyse, and report on KPIs for digital campaigns, focusing on reach, impressions, engagement rates, and conversions to evaluate campaign effectiveness.
  • Work closely with the Analytics Team and M’Ops Team to interpret data insights, assess performance, and make recommendations for ongoing optimisation.
  • Use reporting tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, and platform-specific analytics to track campaign results, identifying opportunities for refinement

Audience Targeting & Publisher Selection:

  • Collaborate with the Product Owners and CDP Team to leverage audience segmentation for targeted campaigns that drive loyalty sign-ups and engagement.
  • Evaluate and recommend the most effective publishers (e.g., Meta, Google) and channels for campaign objectives, utilising audience insights to enhance targeting precision.
  • Manage audience segmentation efforts, ensuring campaigns reach relevant audiences and achieve engagement objectives

Campaign Optimisation & Testing:

  • Conduct A/B testing and other optimisation tactics to evaluate creative and messaging effectiveness, providing data-driven insights to improve campaign performance.
  • Make real-time adjustments to targeting, creative, and bidding strategies based on performance data, budget considerations, and strategic objectives

Key Capabilities 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Digital Communications, or a related field.
  • Professional membership in recognized industry bodies (e.g., Australian Marketing Institute, Product Management Association) is preferred.
  • Certifications in digital buying platforms (e.g., Google Ads Certification, Facebook Blueprint Certification, DV360 Certification) are highly desirable.
  • Experience in digital marketing, with expertise in upper to mid-funnel strategies for brand awareness, audience engagement, and multi-channel digital campaigns.
  • Proven track record of managing a multi-million-dollar budget and optimising spend across channels to achieve strategic grow and retain objectives.
  • Experience working with major publishers like Meta and Google to plan and execute effective upper funnel campaign
  • Expertise in marketing technology tools, including analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) and CDPs (Tealium etc.)
  • Strong ability to analyse marketing data, generate insights, and create performance dashboards using tools like Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
