The Design Assistant supports the creation of distinctive, customer-focused collections, helping translate seasonal concepts into products that embody Country Road's vision and aesthetic. Working collaboratively across teams, this role contributes to the delivery of inspiring, trend-relevant ranges that drive desirability and commercial success.

How you will contribute

• Work with the design team to develop range concepts
• Attend fitting to ensure continuation of style development process
• Attend all fit meetings and other associated meetings which will impact upon the range development
• Select all trims for the range to be signed off by the Designer to ensure the look and values of the brand are maintained
• Source, execute and design any creative, conceptual work required for pre-sell or sell presentation to ensure clarity and consistency at all times
• Conceptualise monthly storyboards in form of mood and colour
• Sourcing & development of fabrics
• Liaise with the suppliers to monitor the development, availability, lead-time and costs.

Capabilities we value

• A tertiary qualification in Fashion or Textiles 
• Experience with illustration software packages
• Experience having worked in a similar design led role in a fashion business would be beneficial
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop strong relationships internally and externally across the business
• Excellent attention to detail
• Working well within a team and the ability to collaborate cross functionally.
