As the Senior People Partner, you will play a crucial role in delivering the people agenda within Support Centre for our brands.  

The Senior People Partner is responsible for partnering with the General Managers (Executive) and leaders in assigned portfolios in the design and delivery of fit-for-purpose people solutions aligned with business needs, in consultation with the Head of People, and Centres of Excellence. This includes advice and recommendations specific to the business portfolios on engagement, performance, talent and succession, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), employee relations, learning and development/people experience, organisation design, and remuneration. The Senior People Partner is also responsible for developing, delivering and embedding key people programs and initiatives across teams for stakeholder groups whilst ensuring consistency across all brands.  

How you will contribute:

  • Deliver key people activities and solutions for assigned portfolio to enable team growth, retention and performance. This includes but is not limited to performance, talent, succession, grievances, operating model changes, change projects and DEI.  
  • Coach and support leaders to drive high performance, uplift leadership capability, and drive optimal roles and operating model design. 
  • Support leaders to deliver cyclical people activities across their teams partnering with COEs and ensuring a level of consistency across the People partnering team. 
  • Work with Head of People to identify specific people priorities and develop strategic people plans for portfolio, in alignment with the commercial and strategic requirements of the business.  
  • Support leaders with the embedment of any changes to ways of working within and across teams. 
  • Conduct learning needs analysis and develop the appropriate learning calendar in conjunction with key stakeholders, business partnering team and CoEs. 
  • Support leaders with advice and/or training regarding individual counselling/disciplinary/termination processes as required and in conjunction with CoEs. 

Operating as a change champion, you are comfortable working in a growing, fast-paced environment where you apply a people-first and pragmatic commercial mindset to everything you do. With outstanding relationship building and stakeholder management skills, you love to partner with stakeholders and coach and support through all their people management and resourcing requirements.  

 

Capabilities we value: 

  • HR Generalist experience supporting corporate functions in a retail environment  
  • Experience working with Senior Executives and leaders at all levels to deliver people activities  
  • Experience working within a transformation and embedding new ways of working 
  • Experience in setting and executing People Strategic Plans  
  • Experience across all people cyclical activities  
  • Excellent influencing skills, with an understanding of driving change on a large scale  
  • The ability to solve problems creatively and draw on your best-practice HR experience  
  • An openness to support the full range of people activities, from partnering with senior leaders, to supporting the operational aspects of people movements and changes   

As an energetic and enthusiastic self-starter, you work well both autonomously and as part of a team, and your organisation, prioritisation and time management skills are second to none. As a true professional in your field, you thrive in a team environment, and possess a positive, can-do attitude.
