Shift Manager - Country Road Group Distribution Centre - VIC

Due to continued growth, we’re introducing a newly created Shift Manager role — the senior operational leader of the OFC during shift. This is a high-impact position responsible for delivering planned output through seamless cross-functional coordination across all operational zones. You’ll own end-to-end flow, proactively remove constraints, and ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations. By aligning people, processes, and equipment, you’ll drive performance against CRG service levels and premium brand standards while keeping daily execution on track with site strategy.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage key stakeholders such as internal team members, zone supervisors, OFC senior leadership team, OHS, HR, ER, payroll and CRG Supply team
  • Liaise with external transport companies, Labour Hire agencies, Schaefer, Manhattan, external contractors for maintenance, security and cleaning
  • Be accountable for shift leadership and flow ownership
  • Builds and sustains high-performing, fit-for-purpose teams with a strong culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Manages engagement, performance, attendance, and recognition in line with CRG people standards.
  • Acts as the single point of operational control, with authority to rebalance labour, reprioritise work, and sequence zones in real time.

Key Capabilities

  • Previous leadership in a high volume warehouse/distribution centre environment. People Leadership, coaching and performance management experience developing leaders
  • Demonstrated success achieving SLA and KPI outcomes, with accountability for service, cost, safety, and people performance within budgeted and engineered standard
  • Labour planning and workforce management, including experience managing EBAs, union engagement, absenteeism, and resource allocation to meet fluctuating demand.
  • Commercial and financial acumen: Ability to forecast and manage shift labour costs, overtime, and consumables in line with budgeted targets.
  • Systems capability: Proficiency with warehouse management systems (e.g., Manhattan, SAP, or equivalent) and strong Microsoft Office skills for planning, reporting, and analysis
