We’re seeking an experienced and driven Senior Product Developer to join the Country Road Menswear team for a 12-month fixed term contract. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead the end-to-end development of our menswear collection —working collaboratively with Buying, Design, Technical teams, and our global supplier network to bring our product vision to life. You’ll own cost negotiations, ensure alignment with product briefs, and deliver ranges on time in line with our go-to-market calendar.

Key Accountabilities 

• Lead, manage, and optimise the critical path and go-to-market calendar for the menswear category to ensure on-time launches.
• Oversee category costs to meet quality and margin targets, providing accurate cost estimates and solutions that balance commercial and design intent.
• Drive supplier negotiations and costing processes, offering innovative alternatives to deliver commercially viable outcomes.
• Partner closely with factories throughout all stages of development to ensure clear communication and shared expectations.
• Coordinate internal teams—including Buyers, Designers, and Technical Designers—while identifying and mitigating risks to deliver against critical path milestones.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, managing capacity planning across the supply chain.
• Navigate ambiguity and change with confidence, helping guide the team through strategic shifts with clarity, empathy, and optimism.
• Lead and mentor a small team, fostering an inclusive, safe, and supportive culture. Set clear behavioural expectations and hold yourself and others accountable.
  
  

Key Capabilities 

• Extensive experience developing menswear apparel within the fashion and luxury sectors.
• Strong understanding of fabric constructions (weaves, knits), finishes, and performance attributes (absorbency, durability, softness).
• Expertise in luxury product costing, with a track record of negotiating complex, high-value supplier partnerships.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills to manage timelines across the critical path.
• Knowledge of sustainable sourcing practices and ethical production standards.
• Exceptional relationship-building skills with both suppliers and internal stakeholders.
