Reporting to the Store Manager, this role is responsible for driving end-to-end operational excellence by embedding streamlined and efficient processes both front and back of house, ensuring seamless stock flow, efficient operations and a positive customer experience.


Key Accountabilities

• Responsible for all back-of-house operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient support function for the store
• Lead the team to deliver store operational excellence through effective stock management and loss prevention activities
• Partner with retail management and visual merchandising to drive a culture of continuous improvement, seeking opportunities to enhance stockroom efficiency, refill processes, merchandise presentation and stock schedule recommendations
• Manage daily financial operations including end-of-day reconciliation, banking procedures and secure cash handling in accordance with company policy
• Provide training and development for the team on operational excellence, including key processes like the Magenta process, Connected Retail and stock availability
• Maintain a well-organised and efficient stockroom, adhering to established standards, managing deliveries, ensuring accurate inventory management and ensuring the safety and security of the stockroom
• Identify and raise opportunities to further operational efficiency via process improvements (eg. Management of inventory, ISF and C&C), utilising available technology and sharing best practice. Pilot and support new initiatives aimed at increasing productivity, reducing waste and improving back of house operations
• Implement and adhere to WHS policies and procedures, guidelines and safe work practices within your area of responsibility.
    

Key Capabilities

• Demonstrated experience in a stockroom or warehouse management role, ideally within a retail environment
• Strong understanding of inventory management systems and processes
• Proven ability to manage and motivate a team to achieve operational goals
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Strong understanding of WHS procedures and practices
• Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for stock management and reporting.
