How You Will Contribute

• Manage operations to deliver quality customer service and logistics services to the business
• Conduct daily team briefing sessions regarding safety, performance results, site visitors etc.
• Maintain all health and safety performance and awareness for the site with the overall accountability for incident management processes
• Develop and maintain effective communication with relevant zones on site and customers, ensuring internal and external customer service needs and expectations are met
• Analyse weekly performance results and regularly review zone’s performance and forecast against initial budgets to devise strategies to improve performance
• In conjunction with the Inventory Manager you will plan, supervise, or conduct inventory reviews, cycle counting, audits and stocktakes

Key Capabilities

• Demonstrated operational management experience within a similar large format warehouse environment
• Previous experience in leading, developing and motivating a large team to meet and exceed KPI's
• Experience motivating and building successful teams and cultures
• Working knowledge of warehousing management and distribution systems including, IT interfaces, WMS (Manhattan), Schaefer Conveyor system
• Sound knowledge of health and safety, human resources and industrial relations processes and practices
• Retail experience beneficial
• Strong computer knowledge and MS Office proficiency
