As a Payroll Specialist, you play an important role in ensuring that all our store, support centre and fulfilment centre employees are paid correctly and on-time, you will support a portfolio across our business the Country Road Group. 

We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic individual with high attention to detail and accuracy in processes, we are looking for curious minded and passionate payroll professionals to be part of our journey as we continue to drive and transform the Payroll function.

Please note this is a 12 month fixed term, 3 day a week part time opportunity.

How You Will Contribute

• Process end-to-end payroll for Country Road Group employees accurately and within deadline each pay cycle
• Ensure payroll processing complies with relevant Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements, legislation and company policy
• Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including new starters, terminations, leave and pay variations
• Respond to and resolve payroll queries from employees and managers in a timely and professional manner
• Reconcile payroll data, including PAYG withholding, superannuation and other statutory deductions
• Prepare and lodge statutory payments and reporting, including PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax and Single Touch Payroll (STP)

Key Capabilities 

• Experience in a high-volume payroll function, preferably within a retail environment
• Experience with PayGlobal or Empower payroll systems will be highly regarded
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills including V-look ups and formulas 
• An appreciation for and ability to interpret Retail/Industry Award and EBAs
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Strong communication skills with customer service ethos
