As an Assistant Buyer, you will play a pivotal role in bringing our product ranges to life, partnering closely with the Buyer to deliver commercially successful, customer-led collections. From coordinating products and managing production timelines to building strong vendor relationships and collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will help ensure every range is executed seamlessly from concept to customer. How you will contribute
- Assist Buyer in building seasonal ranges aligned to brand strategy and customer
- Support development of new products from concept to final sample
- Maintain and update range plans, option plans, and line sheets
- Track samples, approvals, and critical path timelines
- Sample management, ownership & organisation
- Analyse competitors, markets, and customer trends to inform buying decisions
- Liaise with Design, Planning and suppliers to ensure smooth product flow
- Assist Buyer in preparation for Range review & Sign off meetings
- Monitor weekly trade reports (sales, sell-through, margins)
- Assist in preparing weekly trade reporting ensuring all documents are completed, and samples prepared ready for Buyer and Head of Buying prior to the trade review
- Communicate with suppliers on production, timelines, and changes
- Track deliveries and manage any delays or issues
- Support cost price negotiations and margin tracking
- Support the maintenance of open costings
- Maintenance of Fabric lead times, Fabric booking & Cut dates in MR
- Tracking of Lab Dips & testing requirements in partnership with Design/Tech.
Capabilities we value
- Relevant Tertiary education (fashion, merchandising, retail management, marketing, business, commerce) is desirable but not essential
- Experience in Buying - Assistant Buyer/Buyers Administration
- Strong administration skills and excellent attention to detail
- Clear written and verbal communication with the ability to develop strong relationships across the business
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skill in Outlook, Work, Excel, PowerPoint
- Strong planning and time management
- Strong customer focus with a professional approach
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment.
