As the Social Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the PR & Social Manager with the organic social media strategy for Mimco's social channels, which include Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, Pintrest, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Twitter.  The role focuses on implementing test-and-learn strategies to drive engagement, brand presence, and community growth. In addition, the position supports the digital customer service strategy across all social platforms.  

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide ongoing strategic recommendations for social media, including defining the role of each channel based on brand pillars, execution plans, analysing key metrics, and evolving strategy as needed. 
  • Oversee the creation, maintenance, and sharing of the organic social media schedule to ensure timely content delivery. 
  • Drive the development and execution of content strategy across Instagram, Tik Tok Facebook, Messenger,  Pintrest, YouTube, and other relevant social platforms. 
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to create content, including developing briefs informed by data-driven insights.
  • Collaborate on content creation, including writing copy, creating engaging content calendars, sourcing imagery and UGC, arranging photoshoots, and repurposing existing customer content when necessary. 
  • Make recommendations on optimal content posting times and scheduling to maximise engagement and performance. 
  • Set up new social media channels and optimise existing ones as required to enhance performance and reach. 
  • Develop comprehensive community management plans and guidelines, ensuring smooth interaction with online audiences

Key Capabilities

  • Professional experience managing and executing commercial social media channels. 
  • Proven track record in developing and delivering successful organic social media campaigns, driving engagement and growth. 
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to adapt quickly to evolving social trends. 
  • In-depth technical knowledge of social media insights platforms and analytics tools, with the ability to track and optimise performance. 
  • Strong attention to detail, paired with excellent analytical skills to assess campaign success and make data-driven decisions. 
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, capable of crafting compelling copy and conveying complex ideas clearly.
