We’re looking for an experienced and commercially-minded Head of Product Development & Production to join the leadership team at Witchery — one of Australia’s most iconic and influential fashion brands. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the end-to-end product development and production process, ensuring we deliver best-in-class product that is on-brand, on-budget, and on-time.
You’ll be the key connector between creative vision and commercial execution — driving sourcing strategy, managing vendor partnerships, and aligning production outcomes with brand objectives. As a senior leader, you’ll shape the operational direction of Witchery while inspiring a high-performing team that brings fashion to life, every season.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Translate brand projections into an actionable sourcing and production strategy, aligned to CRG’s network model.
Lead the execution of Witchery’s sourcing strategy ensuring timely delivery, cost effectiveness, and quality.
Partner closely with Buying and Brand leadership to deliver commercial outcomes and maximise margin opportunities.
Contribute to brand strategy discussions, ensuring operational alignment with market positioning and growth targets.
Operational Excellence
Own and manage the product development & production budget, ensuring cost controls and strategic investment in key areas.
Oversee calendar adherence and drive continuous improvement across the critical path.
Analyse production performance and implement data-driven improvements.
Stay ahead of industry trends to bring innovation to sourcing and production processes.
Vendor & Supplier Partnerships
Lead key vendor relationships, supported by Product Developers, to ensure alignment with quality, ethical, and commercial standards.
Negotiate high-value, high-volume partnerships and ensure sustainable, responsible sourcing practices.
People & Culture
Lead, coach and develop a team of Product Developers to deliver exceptional outcomes.
Build a culture of collaboration, accountability, and creativity.
Champion inclusion and foster an environment where everyone feels safe, respected and valued.
Inspire change and lead with empathy and optimism, even through ambiguity.
Key Capabilities
Proven leadership experience in fashion product development and production and/or sourcing, ideally within premium or luxury brands.
Strong commercial acumen and ability to optimise cost, margin, and delivery outcomes.
Deep understanding of product development processes, from concept to delivery.
Experience managing large-scale supplier partnerships and production budgets.
Skilled at leading and developing high-performing teams.
Passion for quality, sustainability, and the customer experience.
